SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA / MENA Newswire / — Nvidia has signed artificial intelligence and data centre agreements with major South Korean companies, widening its role in the country’s AI infrastructure buildout. The agreements involve SK Hynix, SK Telecom, NAVER and Doosan Group. The companies did not disclose financial terms. The announcements followed Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to South Korea in early June.

SK Hynix and Nvidia agreed to a multiyear technology partnership focused on next generation memory for AI factories. SK Hynix supplies high bandwidth memory used in advanced AI chips. The companies said the work covers memory technology, semiconductor design and manufacturing. The agreement links South Korea’s chip supply chain with Nvidia’s accelerated computing platforms.

SK Telecom said it plans to build a gigawatt scale AI cloud in Korea using Nvidia DSX. Its first AI factory is scheduled to come online in 2027. The platform will support enterprise AI services, industrial AI uses and physical AI workloads. SK Telecom also works with Nvidia on cloud services for robotics and digital twin development.

    AI infrastructure plans

NAVER said it will expand sovereign AI infrastructure through Nvidia DSX, starting with 55 megawatts at its GAK Sejong data centre. The company plans to scale that AI infrastructure toward gigawatt level capacity. NAVER also plans to use Nvidia platforms, models and software for HyperCLOVA X, Seoul World Model development and agentic AI services. Its data centre business serves Korean industries and global AI cloud customers.

Doosan Group said it will broaden cooperation with Nvidia across physical AI, robotics and AI factory infrastructure. Doosan Robotics is developing an Agentic Robot OS using Nvidia technologies. Doosan Enerbility plans to support power infrastructure for AI factories. Doosan’s electro materials unit will support next generation AI data centre infrastructure through copper clad laminate materials used in advanced electronics.

    Memory and robotics links

LG Group and Nvidia are building an AI factory to support robotics, autonomous driving, data centre technologies and GPU cloud services. Hyundai Motor Group has also deepened cooperation with Nvidia in autonomous mobility, robotics and AI enabled manufacturing. These projects connect Nvidia’s AI chips, software and systems with South Korea’s manufacturing, mobility and cloud industries.

The agreements came as South Korea seeks more computing capacity for national AI projects. Science and ICT Minister Bae Kyung-hoon said the government will ask for priority supply of Nvidia Vera Rubin GPUs. He said B300 chip supply looked on schedule, while Vera Rubin supply faced slight delays. The announcements add new AI data centre, memory and robotics commitments across South Korea’s technology sector.
